The Solstice Variations: #1 (2007)
This is the first in a set of musical variations on "The Book of Coming Forth by Night", an obscure text of cosmology and magic recently rediscovered by a secret society of postmodern Egyptophiles. All of the notes and durations are based on a literal translation of the text into music, preserving the arrangement and meaning of the words in an alternate medium. This set of variations will feature radically divergent translations and interpretations of the text, realized using unnatural computer-generated sounds.
The Other Side of Oblivion (2008)
Time dilates obsessively and the laws of reality itself are rent beyond comprehension within the collapsed star looming below. Then, on the other side of the event horizon, the sounds drift along in their new and strange surroundings until eventually crushed under their own unfathomable density.
